Under the Aegis of Azadi ka Amrut Mohatsav, Department of Environmental Sciences along with Yuva Tourism Club and Palash Eco-Club of Govt Degree College Paloura organised field trip and interaction trip at Ambaran and Jia Pota Ghat (Akhnoor) here today. Ambaran is a Buddhist monastic complex on the right bank of river Chenab, near Akhnoor and dates back from 1st century BCE to 4th-5th century CE, gave a strong physical proof of a vibrant Buddhist phase in Jammu Principal of the college Dr. Ashu Vashisht flagged of the trip and encouraged the students to reap the maximum benefit from the field trip. A total of 36 students participated in the trip. Students witnessed Tera cotta heads which represents Budha worshippers and coins of various shapes. These include bases of stupas and votive stupas, and walls of a monastery and important antiquities including large number of decorative terracotta figurines, heads, moulds of leaves and ornaments, a circular gold casket etc. Dr. Savi Behl (Convener Yuva Tourism Club), Dr. Pinki Manhas ( HOD EVS and Convener Palash Eco-Club) and Dr. Sapna Sharma ( HOD Chemistry were the part of the field trip).
Fencer of Govt. Degree College, Paloura bagged Bronze medal in team event in All India Inter-University fencing tournament in Men’s section, organized by University of Jammu held at Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu. A Team of Archers has taken part in said tournament under the direction and supervision of Ms. Sonu, Physical Director, GDC Paloura. Mr. Harsh Anand brought laurel to the college as well as to the University of Jammu. Dr. Ashu Vashisht, Principal Govt. Degree College Paloura, appreciated the efforts of students and Physical Director and also encouraged the students to bring more laurel to the college.
Govt. Degree College Paloura organized one day training / workshop session on various digital initiatives of Higher Education Department for the teaching and non-teaching faculty members of the college. Dr. Kumar Sourav and Prof. Rakesh Goswami were the resource persons from the Higher Education side. Dr. Sourav gave power point presentation along with demonstration on various digital initiates like SPARROW (APR), eSamarth, 3 Tier Feedback System etc. In the end a fruitful question answer session was held in which both the speakers cleared the doubts of the faculty members. Principal of the college Dr. Ashu Vashisht appreciated the efforts of the Computer Department for organizing the event which is of utmost importance for the faculty members. CMr. Shubham Sharma of Govt. Degree College Paloura brought gold to the college as well as to the UT in Kickboxing. Shubham Sharma of BA Sem-1 won GOLD medal in 5th Pro-National games championship-2022, kick boxing, held at Gymkhana Club Aujuna beach, Goa, organized by Pro-Games Association, Goa under the patronage of Pro-Games Federation of India, Ministry of MSME Govt. of India. Mr. Shubham Sharma was warmly welcomed by the college authority and Dr. Ashu Vashisht , principal, GDC Paloura applauded the sportsmanship of Mr. Shubham Sharma and congratulated him that he has brought laurels to the college and became inspiration for the other students. We wish him flourishing future and she also lauded the efforts of Ms. Sonu for moulding the students into medal winners.
Continuing the series of activities, as part of month long awareness programme on the eve of “World AIDS DAY”, the Red Ribbon Club, Government Degree College, Paloura (Mishriwala) organised Poster Making Competition on the theme “Equalise: Achieving Equality to End HIV/AIDS” in the college premises on 08-12-2022. The event was organised under the supervision and guidance of Dr Ashu Vashisht, Hon’ble Principal, GDC, Paloura, who in her address lauded the efforts of students and exhorted the students to be ambassadors to spread AIDS awareness in the society. A total of 27 students participated in the competition. Based on judgement the first prize went to Tushar Kakkar (Sem V), Second prise to Vasudev (Sem III) and third prize was shared by Arti Devi (Sem I), Meenu Sharma (Sem V) and Riya Kaw (Sem V) Prof Pooja Sharma, Assistant Professor of Sociology and Dr Rabia Iqbal, Assistant Professor of English acted judges for the event. As part of Vigilance Awareness Week, a talk was organized on Ant- Corruption in which NCC Cadets presented their views about its ill effects in the society.

Government Degree College, Jammu city, Paloura celebrated International Day of the Girl Child under the able guidance of Dr. Ashu Vashist, Principal of the college. To celebrate the occasion, Internal committee against sexual harassment (ICASH) in collaboration with women Development Cell and NSS unit of the college organized Extension Lecture on Gender sensitization and Role of CASH in Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of sexual harassment at work places with the objective to raise awareness about the rights of women, discuss various atrocities and inequalities that girls face in their lives and to increase awareness regarding their rights, health and Education. The programme started with the welcome address of Prof. Geetanjali Multani, Convener ICASH, who formally introduced Prof Nirlape Kour, Associate Professor, Department of Political Science, GDC Purmandal and Dr. Jatinder Kour , Associate Professor, Department of English, GGM. Sc. College Jammu, Resource persons of the day to the august audience. Prof. Nirlape Kour, highlighted the role of Internal committee against sexual harassment in providing a safe and secure workplace in accordance with the provisions of The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act. She further highlighted that sexual harassment at the work place is a social challenge that needs to be addressed. It is important to enhance the awareness of employers and employees on the existence of forms of sexual harassment at the work place, preventive measures and legal framework on preventing and addressing sexual harassment. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Jatinder Kour, emphasized on gender sensitization at work places. She said that the concept of gender sensitivity is a way to reduce the barriers caused due to discrimination and gender bias. Creating the right kind of gender-sensitive environment leads to mutual respect regardless of their gender. She further added that Gender sensitization is extremely important as it helps employees feel valued and cared for within the organization. In order to inculcate the values of our tradition a Mehendi competition was organized at Government Degree College Paloura in context with the celebration of Karwachouth in which near about ten (10) students of the college participated and created beautiful design on different themes and displayed their hidden talent and creativity. The programme was adjudged by Prof. Geetanjali Multani, HOD English and Dr. Savi Behl, HOD Zoology. The first position was secured by Deepakshi Khajuria whereas 2 nd & 3 rd position by Esha Karlupia and Priya Devi respectively. NCC cadets of GDC Paloura, Mishriwala attended the prestigious Thal Sainik Camp in New Delhi which started w.e.f from 14 th September to 25 th September, 2022. Cadet Ajay Sharma and Cadet Abhishek Kumar of Semester 4 th were selected through a rigorous training for the last one month at Camping Ground Nagrota .Cadet Ajay Sharma won bronze medal in Tug of War Competition in TSC,Delhi and they also participated in other events like tent pitching, Obstacle Training and firing. To celebrate National Sports Day chess Competition of Men’s & Women’s section was organized at GDC Paloura under the Patronage of Principal Ashu Vashisht who presided over the function. She was accompanied on the dice by Prof. Narayan Dutt (Head, Department of Physics), Dr. Savi Behl (Head, Deptt. of Zoology). Dr. Sanjay Kotwal (Coordinator IQAC), Dr. Anoop Kumar (Convener, Sport Committee), Ms. Renuka Jasrotia (Librarian). The whole proceedings were looked after by PTI Ms. Sonu, and competing players were made aware of the rules and regulation by her. Mr. Kashav Rai student of Semester 4 th was adjudged as winner while Mr. Ritik Chib of Semester 4 th was declared as runner up in Men’s Section. And Ms. Khushi Langeh o Semester 4 th was adjudged as winner while Ms. Simran Traitha of Semester 4 th was declared as runner up winners are felicitated with trophies by the Principal of the college.
Students of GDC Paloura namely Mr. Ajay Sharma and Jagmohan Jamwal who had won 02 bronze medals in All India Inter –University Competitions 2021-22 in the discipline of Korfball (Mixed) event category and Miss. Anjali Devi who participated in Yoga. The winners of All India Inter-University competition were honored by University of Jammu in a grand ceremony under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav programme held on 29-08-2022. Worthy Vice Chancellor, of University of Jammu, who presided over the function, congratulated the players and awarded them with certificates of excellence and T- shirts. Independence day Celebration
To commemorate 75 years of Independence and towards the culmination of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, GDC Paloura, Mishriwala, Jammu, celebrated Independence Day with hoisting of tricolor in presence of the principal Dr. Ashu Vashisht, staff and students. The NCC cadets and NSS volunteers had smartly turned out in their uniform on the occasion and gave a thunderous rendition of the National Anthem while braving the rains. Dr Ashu Vashisht, Principal GDC Paloura, gave a speech on Independence day remembering the sacrifices of our great freedom fighters. Colourful cultural programme was displayed by the students with an echo of patriotic songs sung by students with zeal and enthusiasm. In the end, the students also took out rally with the slogans of Har Ghar Tiranga and Bharat Mata Ki Jai. Govt. Degree College Paloura, in collaboration with Patanjali Yog Peeth (Jammu), organized awareness programme cum workshop on making Eco-Friendly products using plants. Deepak Sharma, President J&K B.S.T and Prof. Uma Sharma, Seh- Rajya Prabhari, Patanjali Yog Peeth were the Resource persons of the event. Nearly 100 Students and Staff members attended the event. The programme started with Welcome Address by Prof. Sanjay Kotwal, Convener IQAC in which he highlighted the importance of eco-friendly products. Prof. Uma Sharma, Resource Person, stressed on the importance of plant based products and also discussed about medicinal properties of plants like Plaash, Neem, Bargadh, Arjun etc. She also demonstrated the art of making eco-friendly products like plates, bowls etc. using leaves and other plant based products. Deepak Sharma demonstrated various yoga asanas like Shirshasana, Sarwang asana, Taad asana, Vriksh-asana and breathing exercises and also explained their importance for the physical, Mental and spiritual well-being of the humans. Dr. Ashu Vashisht, Principal of the college lauded the enthusiastic participation of students and staff and impressed that we must shun the use of single use plastic products and stress should be laid on using bio-degradable plant based products for safety, preservation and sustainability of the environment. Under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Govt. Degree College, Paloura developed Rose Garden in the college to celebrate Van Mahotsav from 1 st June to 7 th June. More than 50 NSS and NCC students and Staff members actively participated in laying and leveling of soil followed by adding of manure for the development of rose garden. A total of 50 Rose plants of varied colours were planted which will be increased to 200 Rose plants in future drives. In addition to rose plants, various fruit tress like Banana, Mango, Lemon, Guava, Cheeku and orange were also planted. Dr. Ashu Vashisht, Principal of the college lauded the enthusiastic participation of students in the campaign and emphasized on the need to protect and conserve the environment. She further impressed that plantation drive will be made a regular feature to be carried out every month to make college campus green and serene. Report on World Blood Donation Day The Red Ribbon Club of Govt. Degree College Jammu City (Paloura), Mishriwala organized an Online Seminar on 14 June, 2022 to celebrate World Blood Donor Day. The Topic of the Seminar was “Donating Blood is an act of solidarity:Join the effort and save lives”. The purpose of organizing the seminar was to make students aware about the blood donation. The seminar started with the welcome address by Dr Savi Behl, convener RRC. She highlighted the objectives of blood donation by making students aware about the need for safe blood and safe blood products. A total of 53 students attended the seminar. 09 students expressed their views on blood donation. Shewali Sharma of B.A. semester VI secured first position, Meenu Sharma of B.A. semester IV secured second position and Riya Kaw of B.A. semester IV secured third position. The students were adjudged by Prof Pooja Sharma, Dept. of Sociology and Dr Shivani Sharma, Dept. of Education. Dr Ashu Vashisht, Principal of the college motivated the students for voluntary, unpaid blood donations. She said that blood donation is a very noble cause and it is a community service. She also thanked Blood donors in the world for saving many lives. Under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Govt. Degree College, Paloura organized Nukkad Natak on the theme “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao”. The aim of the programme was to create awareness on valuing of girl child and sensitize masses regarding prevalence of gender bias. A total of 28 NSS volunteers accompanied by Ms. Archana Sharma and Dr. Preeti Rachna were present in the event which was held in Mishriwala market. In order to bring behavioural changes in the society towards birth and rights of a girl child, the NSS volunteers presented a short play. They also interacted with local people and urged them to be part of the campaign to eradicate gender bias. Prof. Ashu Vashisht, Principal of the college lauded the enthusiastic participation of students in the campaign and impressed that coordinated and convergent efforts are needed to ensure survival, protection and education of the girl child to improve child sex ration in the country. World Ocean Day Commemoration by GDC Paloura, Mishriwala, NCC Girls Wing Under the able guidance of Principal GDC Paloura, Prof. Ashu Vashisht, the NCC unit of girls bn. guided by ANO Lt Kusha Sharma, undertook the task of cleaning the nearby waterbody in Jhiri thereby spreading awareness among the local public about the importance of water resources and different ways we can adopt in order to save these. In the end, the Principal addressed the students how oceans play a crucial role in maintaining the ecosystem of the planet and applauded the efforts of NCC cadets in taking active participation in these social activities.
Department of English Organised Online awareness campaign on the Process of seeking Admission in universities outside J&K (UT) in collaboration with Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies under the able guidance of worthy Principal Madam Dr. Ashu Vashisht. The speakers on the occasion. Dr. Jyoti and Dr. Jayashree briefed the students about various post graduate courses offered in different universities in various parts of the Country. Govt. Degree College, Paloura organized Door to Door Yoga awareness campaign as Count- down to IDY 2022 under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav . The programme was organized by NSS unit in collaboration with Yoga Club “Nirvana”. To spread awareness among masses regarding importance of yoga, 24 NSS volunteers accompanied by Ms. Sonu, PTI of the college visited nearly thirty households of Kaleri village, Mishriwala. The NSS volunteers interacted with villagers and urged them to make Yoga as a part and parcel of their life as Yoga promotes physical, mental and spiritual well being. They also demonstrated some Yoga postures like Suryanamaskar, Tadasan, Vrikashasana, Kapalbhati and Pranayam to the people. The students also raised slogans like “Yog Apnao, Jindagi Behtar Banao”, Yog Karo, Nirog Rahen”, “Jo karta Yog, Use nahi Chuta koi Rog”. NSS unit of the Govt. Degree College, Paloura organized Cycle Rally on the occasion of World Bicycle Day under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The rally was part of “Fit India Freedom Rider Cycle Rally” to promote Fit India Movement by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The objective of the rally was to encourage people to adopt cycling in their daily lives for physical fitness and also to cut down pollution level by cycling. About 20 NSS Volunteers accompanied by Dr. Shivani Sharma, NSS PO were part of the rally. The rally started from Kala Kendra Jammu and passed through Ware house, Tawi Fourth Bridge towards Bhagwati Nagar and back to Kala Kendra. The students also carried messages like “ Save the Planet, Ride a Cycle”, “Pedal your way to fitness”, Stop Stressing and start Riding”, “Ride with Freedom”, “Burn Fat not Oil-Adopt Bicycle” etc. Prof. Ashu Vashisht , Principal of the College, lauded the efforts of participating team and urged that we should motivate masses for cycling as it keep them immune to diseases like obesity, anxiety, stress etc and on the other hand it is also environmental friendly.
The Cyber Security Cell in collaboration with NSS and NCC (Boys and Girls) wings of the Govt. Degree College, Paloura organized Cyber Awareness Rally as part of Cyber Jagrookta campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The objective of the rally was to raise awareness among the masses about cybercrimes and various threats associated with it. Prof. Ashu Vashisht, Principal of the college flagged off the rally from the college campus. Nearly 50 students accompanied by Prof. Joginder Kumar, Prof. Shivani Sharma (NSS PO), Prof. Kusha Sharma (ANO, NCC) and Prof. Vijay Kumar (ANO,NCC) were part of the rally which covered the areas in and around Assarwan Village. The students chanted slogans like, “Online Lotteries are the bait”, “Think before you click”, “Stay safe online”, “Block the hackers”, Think before you share” etc. Prof.Ashu Vashisht , Principal of the College, lauded the efforts of organizing team and stressed that we should promote awareness among masses to prevent cyber crimes like phishing, OTP scam, identity theft etc.
Anti-Tobacco Cell of GDC Paloura (Mishriwala) organised a series of events on World No-Tobacco Day on 31st May 2022. The awareness programme commenced with the signature campaign wherein students participated enthusiastically to sign against the usage of tobacco. A special sign board was made for this activity so that the students are made aware of the bad repercussions of the use of tobacco and related products. The Principal of the College, Dr. Ashu Vashisht, staff members and the students took the pledge to stay distant from the usage of tobacco & motivate others also to never indulge in the consumption of any such harmful products.
A total of 16 students participated in Poster Making Competition on the theme “Tobacco: Threat to our environment”. The students displayed their creative talent in best possible way & vowed their commitment towards the healthy way of lifestyle. Meenu Sharma of B.A. Sem. III, Rupali Chargotra of B.Sc. Sem. VI and Seema Shamra of B.A. Sem. VI bagged First, Second and Third position respectively. The Programme was adjudged by Prof. Geetanjali Multani and Dr. Savi Behl. Dr. Ashu Vashisht, Principal of the college stressed upon the adoption of the righteous path especially by the youth. She advised the students to refrain from indulgence in any sort of activity that can affect their mental, social & psychological growth in a positive way.

The Red Ribbon Club of Govt. Degree College, Jammu City, Paloura (Mishriwala) in collaboration with Department of Zoology organized an offline slogan writing competition under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The theme of the slogan writing competition was ‘KNOW AIDS FOR NO AIDS’. A total of 16 students participated in the competition. Participants through their slogans highlighted the different causes, symptoms and preventive measures of HIV/AIDS. The aim of event was to make students aware about the HIV/AIDS. Meenu Sharma of B.A. Sem. III secured first position, Rupali Chargotra of B.Sc. Sem. VI secured second position and Arun Singh of B.A Sem. I secured third position. To commemorate Earth Day, Government Degree College Paloura (Mishriwala), Jammu under the aegis of Palash Eco-Club, NSS UNIT and Azadi Ka Amrut Mohatsav hosted a series of events from 19/04/2022 to 22 04/2022 on the theme “ Invest in Our Earth” in order to generate sense of responsibility among the students to save earth. The events began with online Inter College poster making competition on 19/04/2022 in which 10 students from different colleges participated. The first and second positions were secured by Shewali Malhotra and Shriya Kumari of GDC Paloura respectively , whereas the third position was awarded to Rahul of GDC Paloura. Their artistic talent was adjudged by Prof. Anjana Chib, HOD Environmental Sciences, GDC Marh and Prof. Poonam Kundan, HOD Environmental Sciences GDC Vijaypur. On 20/04/2022, National Level Online Quiz Competition was held in which 66 students from different states participated. On 21/04/2022 one minute video making competition was held. The best video making award was secured by Priya Devi, whereas Meenu Sharma and Suhani Kotwal secured second and third positions respectively. The programme was adjudged by Dr. Savi Behl, HOD Zoology and Dr. Anoop Kumar HOD Sociology of GDC Paloura (Mishriwala). On April 22 nd 2022, plantation drive was conducted in the college campus. All the events were organised by Palash Eco-Club and NSS Unit of GDC Paloura (Mishriwala) Jammu under the Supervision of Prof. Ramneek Kaur, Principal of the College.
Department of Legal Metrology in collaboration with Department of physics and Department of mathematics, GDC paloura under the banner of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav organized an extension lecture on the topic “Consumer Rights and Awareness” on 16th of April 2022 from 12:00 PM to 01:00 PM in GDC Paloura under the chairmanship of Principal of the college, Prof. Ramneek Kaur. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Vinod Singh Samyal, Joint Controller, Department of Legal Metrology along with Mr. Manoj Prabhakar, Deputy Controller, Department of Legal Metrology. The lecture was attended by students, NCC Cadets and the faculty members of the college. The speaker Dr. Vinod Singh Samyal discussed various problems faced by consumers and their solutions. He discussed about various rights of consumers. He later on cleared all the queries asked by the students and the faculty members of the college Principal of the college Prof. Ramneek Kaur thanks Dr. Vinod Singh Samyal and Mr. Manoj Prabhakar for organising the lecture. Prof. Pinki Manhas presented vote of thanks.
Under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav., Department of Education and Political Science, Govt. Degree College, Paloura organized seminar on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The programme started with the lightning of traditional lamp followed by floral tributes. About Fifteen NSS volunteers and NCC Cadets presented their views on the topic “Dr. B.R Ambedkar: Architect of Modern India.” The first position was secured by Mr. Sourav, second and third positions were secured by Mr. Mohd. Arif and Mr. Sahil respectively of the college. The programme was adjudged by Prof. Pinki Manhas and Prof. Pooja Sharma. On the occasion, a documentary on the life history and contributions of Dr. Ambedkar was also shown to the students. Prof. Ramneek Kaur, Principal of the college lauded the enthusiastic participation of students. Prof. Geetanjali Multani, Head, Department of English while speaking on the occasion impressed upon everyone to work hard to make India an egalitarian society. The whole event was organized by Dr. Shivani Sharma, NSS PO, Prof. Kusha Sharma ANO, Girls wing and Prof. Vijay Kumar Rukwal ANO Boys wing of the college.
GDC Paloura Mishriwala Jammu organized cleanliness drive at Bawa ka Talab in Jhiri under Puneet Sagar Abhiyan NCC Cadets of GDC,Paloura ,Mishriwala both boys and girls wing participated in the Puneet Sagar Abhiyan in which NCC Cadets of the College collected plastic waste from the nearby waterbody namely Bawa ka Talab in Jhiri Mishriwala, Jammu. NCC Cadets spread social awareness among the local public regarding the hazards of plastic waste. A total no. of 52 Cadets along with two Associate NCC Officers and PI Staff participated in the event. The whole activity was organized under the patronage of Prof. Ramneek Kaur, Principal of the college and Prof. Kusha Sharma, ANO, Girls Wing and Prof. Vijay Kumar Rukwal, ANO, Boys Wing of 2 J&K Girls Bn and 2 J&K Boys Bn respectively supervised the whole activity.
Govt. Degree College, Paloura organized series of activities to celebrate Poshan Pakhwada under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The aim of the programme was identification and celebration of healthy child in the age group of 0-6 years and integration of modern and traditional practices for healthy India. On the inaugural day, online quiz competition was organized on the topic “Awareness on anemia”. The first position was shared by 4 students namely, Shehzad Ali, Shewali Malhotra, Amandeep Kour and Dimple Sangral whereas; second and third positions were bagged by Ms. Ameesha kotwal and Ms. Ashmi Angral of the college respectively. On day 2, NSS volunteers measured height and weight of 80 students in the age group of 0-6 years to mark Swastha Balak Balika spardha. On day three, Poster making competition was organized on the the theme “Role of women on water conservation” in which Ms. Riya Kaw secured first position whereas, Kuldeep singh secured second and Mansi Sharma secured third position. On day four, Essay writing competition was organized on the topic “AYUSH for Prevention and Management of Anemia” in which Mr. shehzaad Ali, Kuldeep singh and Sapna Sharma of the college secured first, second and third positions respectively. The programme concluded with door to door campaign and distribution of nutritious kits to the children by NSS volunteers. The NSS volunteers interacted with the parents regarding balanced diet and role of AYUSH in prevention of Anemia. They urged parents to include vitamins, minerals, cereals and pulses in diet of the children to maintain proper height and weight of the children according to their age. Prof. Ramneek Kaur, Principal of the college lauded the enthusiastic participation of students in the campaign and impressed upon them to take constructive steps to eliminate problem of malnutrition and anemia in children by promoting healthy eating habits and healthy lifestyle. The whole programme was coordinated by Dr. Shivani Sharma, NSS Programme Officer of the college.
Teachers Day was Celebrated with full zeal and
enthusiasm at Government Degree College Jammu City
Paloura. The Programme began with the lightening of the
ritual lamp in order to pay tribute to Dr. Sarv Pali
Radhakrishnan. The Principal of the College Prof. Rita
Bhagat was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Various
cultural items were presented by the students/NSS
volunteers of the College. Many students spoke on the
philosophy, teachings and preaching’s of the said
philosopher. NSS co-ordinator Dr. Sanjay Kapoor gave the
welcome speech. Our worthy Principal also spoke on the
occasion. She advised the students to follow the path of
truth and hard-work so that they can become the strong
pillars of the Nation. Dr. Veena Sumbria, Prof. Narayan
Dutt and Prof. Shashi Prabha along with the staff
members were also present on the occasion.
